Time goes by

Hi for those who might read this.  I can't even imagine that time has passed so quickly.

I'm still making cards, lots of them.  My scrap booking has concluded for now.  I have a full shelf of scrap books and just not enough room for anymore.

I'm on FB a lot now and I have a small Christian forum that I like hanging out in.  But then I remember this blog and popped in.  I might just come back and start it up again.  But time is so valuable anymore and I find myself out of time.  With making cards, tending to my yard and roses, and just the regular things in life I still might find a few minutes to post.

I am a lot older and my energy level is a lot slower, so let me give this some thought and I'll see if I can swing it posting here again.  :)

Hi everyone,
My but it has been a very interesting year so far.  I've been going though a lot of medical issues and even a couple of stays in the hospital.

But God is good and things are looking so much better.  I'm looking forward to trying some new scrap pages this year.  I haven't done any for quite some time.
I love making cards and that has taken most of my creative time.  LOL
I've gotten some new tools and techniques that are proving to be lots of fun.

When time allows I will try and get some pictures done up and post them.
This is a card I made for my youngest grandson for his fourth birthday.  He really likes BUGS!
This was all cut out from a Cricut cartridge.  The dotted page behind was only for the picture, it was a BIG jar card.

This is also a beautiful rose, Lady Overtoun, and it is rather rare.  I just had to share a picture of it.
I love growing roses.  God has created so many beautiful things for us to enjoy and for me roses are one of them.

I'll be back soon!

My but it has been a long time

I've been so busy with life that I need a reminder to come over here and post on my blog. LOL

I've been making cards and more cards. But I don't have any pictures of them to share. I hope to get some soon or maybe I can share some of my older ones.

I encourage all of your to continue to create something special and to share them. There is nothing more precious than getting a special card in the mail from someone you love and someone who loves you!!!

God bless everyone!!!

UPDATING....

Today I've been putting the updates on my Gypsy and getting it ready to use with my new Cricut Imagine when the time comes. It is so exciting.

I also finished a tag project for my son. He needed 70 some small tags and then two special larger tags for two flower arrangements. I used Tim Holtz ink pads and they turned out so cool. Most of the small tags were cut and printed on the Imagine. The rest were cut out with my Expression, with a little golf cart I glued onto the tag. The whole project went so fast except the gluing. LOL

I didn't keep any of the extras so I don't have a picture of them. He is going to get a picture of the finished floral arrangements and I'll try and post one of those.

I really would like a couple more carts, I have very few and usually make them work but with projects I can see that there are some carts that would give me more choices. Carts are always good for a gift list when it comes to birthdays, etc.

A few new cards

Here are just a few cards that I've finished. I don't get them photographed and so I can't share all of them. There are so many. The one on the bottom I used some dried flowers from my garden, covered them with Mod Podge and when dry I cut them out and glued them onto my cards. I really like using dried flowers and leaves when possible.

Our recent Birthday

Our youngest grandson, Ethan, turned 2 in June. He sure liked the toys and his Hot wheels. Chocolate cake is his favorite and you can see he ate the whole thing. At the top is a picture of both our grandsons, when presents are around they both have to be part of it. Nathan loves to help his little brother open them and then play with them. If Ethan lets him. LOL

What's going on?

What a Spring it has been. If only we could get some warmer weather so my little garden will grow. It is the first time in years that I've planted a veggie garden and everything is just waiting to grow till the warmer weather comes. The NW does not have a lengthy growing season and I can hardly wait to have fresh veggies from my garden. I should have pictures soon, just have to download them from my camera. LOL

It is time to move on...I'm closing my Delphi forum after 9 years and will spend more time here on my blog and in other areas on the Internet. Change is good!

Little purses

Here are some little purses I made for our little girls that we help support through World Vision. I thought I had posted them but found I hadn't. They are so much fun to make and fun to give.
They were cut from the Ultimate Crafter's Companion. I sure like having this in my craft supplies and tools. It has come in so handy over and over again. I use it to make lots of envelopes to match my cards.

Cricut Classes

Classes can be so much fun!

I just finished 2 classes teaching us how to use our Cricut Expression. We used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and found out so many ways to using it. I didn't have the cartridge and so through my Yahoo group I was able to buy one from one of the gals. I'm so glad I have that cartridge now.

I'm cutting vinyl now. I was scared to try it and it was so simple. So if anyone hesitates, don't it is easy and a great way to decorate.

I also received a Gypsy from my Hubby. WOW I'm having so much fun with it and I can weld letters. I love that!

I'll so be taking some pictures of my cards and creations and posting them. It seems that gets put on the back burner way too often. ;)

Be back soon....

A NEW LOOK

The holidays are over and now it's time to move on into a new year.

I have not been doing much with my scrap booking. Yesterday I started scrapping again. I want to finish my youngest grandson's first year scrapbook. Then I can give both the boys their scrapbooks. I hope they will like them for years to come.

What this year will bring is only up to our Lord God. The signs are all around of the end coming soon. I believe in the rapture and Christ's soon return. Our faith belongs to Him as he is in total control.

I would ask you to remember those in Haiti that are working day and night to help those in dire straights. We support 2 girls in Haiti through World Vision and have gotten a report that our girls and their families are safe. In fact none of the several hundred workers are all safe and now working hard to help. God was so merciful to all of the World Vision team. Praise God! If you can help please go to the web site. Just click on the words World Vision and it will take you to the site. Thank you!

I will soon be posting some pictures.

My new crafting toy

I bought a Crafters Companion to help with card making and it is so great. I've made boxes, lots of different cards and envelopes to match. It makes making cards so easy. Here are a few pictures of the items I've made.

Many more to share!!!

Birthday Card for my Grandson

My Grandson had his 4th Birthday a few weeks ago and this is the card I made for him. I created it using the Crafters Companion and my Cricut. It was made to make the shape of a star when it was folded out. The star card and he was our little star that day. This challenge was more than worth it.

I have a new cutting machine ;)

I now have a Pazzle Inspiration and a new Cricut. Yes, another machine, but I can make so much more now. Soon, I hope to post some of the new cards and pages I've been making.
Hehehehe, it's a good thing I don't have more money to spend as my list of stamps and stuff is a long one.

Summer is almost gone

Well here we are, almost at the end of Summer and what a Summer it has been.

I got out to enjoy my yard and bought some new roses. Now I'm busy taking some cuttings for my garden next year and for my DIL's garden.

But I didn't forget my scrapbooks and my card making. Our youngest grandson is a year old now and I'm finishing his First Year Scrapbook. What fun it is to look back and see how he has grown and then be able to add pictures of both grandsons to their shared album. I just love it!
I wanted to add my garden to my cards so I used leaves plucked from the bushes and then painted with metallic paint to make cards like this:

Then I made some cards using the Names of God on them and they turned out so nice. I even had an order for them from a sweet Christian lady I met through an online friend. This is an example of one of those cards:

I am now putting together bundles of all the cards I've made all year to sell at our garage sale this weekend. I've never done this before and it is a tad bit of work. My biggest question is do I make them up by type, have mixed sets or sell them individually? It should be fun. I have a Cricut now and with my Inspiration I have lots of ways to make nice scrapbook pages and cards. God has blessed me so much and I hope I can bless others.

Trying my hand at stamping

I was talking to Shirley (her blog is Card Art, Etc)
and I had to give it a try. The picture isn't the best, but
scanning pictures doesn't always come out great.
I used different inks and mediums for different effects.
The Brilliance ink pads are great! I have listed the ones I used
beside each example.
Then I listed the different mediums I used to color in the stamps.
I used the Pearl Ex, LePlume pens, and colored pencils.
Here you can get tips on using Pearl Ex. About 1/2 way down the page it
tells you about using it for stampling.
This was so much fun that I'm getting hooked on stamping. I have
an order coming. LOL

This Old House

This is another challenge I did using the words to a song. It was perfect to make it of my Grandmother and her home. She and my Grandfather lived in that home for over 60 years.
I grew up in the house as well as my own. They just lived down the hill from us. I have very fond memories of that home.

Heritage page

This was a page I made for a challenge on one of the forums I belong to. It was so much fun making a page honoring my grandparents.
I don't know where I got the paper and embellishments. I'll keep looking and post it when I find it. This is also a digital page.

My little deaf buddy

This is my deaf cat, Buzz. This page was done with digital scrapping. The embellishments and papers are from Sweetwrapz. She does the most beautiful work.

I adopted Buzz while I was fostering dogs and cats. He was so tiny when he came to me. We worked hard to keep him alive and I put him in a guinea pig cage so he would be safe. After a little while I realized he didn't hear. By then I had totally fallen in love with him.

This has been quite an adventure. But as time passes, we know exactly what each other means. His favorite thing to do is get up on the counter or furniture and knock things off. He can't hear the noise it makes and he thinks all things should be on the floor.....I guess. LOL

I wanted to tell you that the last post had pictures of my husband and our second grandson.
He is now 7 months old and loves his Grandpa.
Here is a page of our first grandson who is now 3 years old.
He loves cars, especially the ones that have lights and sounds.
He really loves Grandpa too!

I won a prize for my layout

I made these pages after Christmas and I posted them to the Scrap-Savvy gallery.
I got the layout through them and I loved it. Then I was told I had won a
prize for the best layout. WOW!!
I have a Pazzle Inspiration cutting machine and Scrap-Savvy's yahoo group
has helped me so much. They are the greatest gals.
